Gabriella Soldatini was born and lives in Genoa. She earned her diploma at art college and attended the Ligustica Academy of Fine Arts and consequently became a teacher of graphic arts and history of art. She organised many collective and solo exhibitions in the 1980s and then devoted herself to research. Since 2006 she has returned to exhibiting and has had solo shows both in Italy and abroad. Her works are made of elegant lines and exuberant colours, in an extraordinary visionary world which however comes together in a lyrical reinterpretation of reality.
This work represents the difficulty of every woman to overcome fears, the physical and moral pain often suffered in life. The main image depicts maternity with looming shadows in the background and a red wire that symbolizes the uncertainties of life.
